Critical Care patient and equipmentPatients who are critically ill or injured as a result of heart attack, stroke or accident require immediate care from a highly trained team of specialists. The West Georgia Health critical care team is ready to act whenever a seriously ill patient arrives at the hospital. State-of-the-art monitoring and diagnostic equipment read vital signs and deliver the data instantly to medical personnel. Our Critical Care team includes physicians, nurses and other specialists who are specially trained in critical care. Once the patient is stabilized, the team continuously monitors the patient's condition and is available to provide any necessary medications or procedures.

West Georgia Health offers a Critical Care Family Information Telephone Line, 706-845-3387, which family members can call for information regarding a patient. A nurse will respond to the call in a timely manner. In the event that your call has not been returned within an hour, please call the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) directly at 706-845-3112.
