West Georgia Health is a strong and growing regional health care provider serving west Georgia and east Alabama. To offer exceptional care to this area, we continually invest in facility improvements, new technologies and services designed to improve the health of our community. Patient revenues cannot fund all of these needs, so the West Georgia Health Foundation was formed in 2004 to accept private donations to fund urgent priorities of West Georgia Health.
Our first campaign for a new Emergency Department raised over $5.1 million. Then, in 2009, the Foundation raised funds to support the creation of the Women’s Health Center to provide for the needs of the women in our community. Now, West Georgia Health Foundation is engaged in the campaign for a Community Cancer Center to provide quality cancer care to the residents of our seven-county service area.
