Emergency Care

When an Emergency Strikes, We Stand Ready

Our emergency room is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week to receive adult and pediatric patients who need immediate medical attention. A highly-trained trauma team of physicians, nurses and lab technicians is always available to administer top tier care for accident victims and patients with life-threatening illnesses.

Staffed with board-certified emergency physicians and a trauma-trained nursing staff, the Emergency Department at West Georgia Health treats about 60,000 patients a year. With nearly 33,000 square-feet, the department was designed to maximize comfort, privacy and efficiency.

Specifically, the Emergency Department offers:

  • Private registration and triage rooms.
  • Private treatment/exam rooms with doors, not curtains.
  • Eight urgent care rooms.
  • Fourteen treatment rooms.
  • Four trauma rooms.
