Vernon Woods Fees

Assisted Living Fees

Interested parties must submit a $500 reservation deposit to reserve an apartment, but this is fully refundable if the resident decides not to move in. There are no entrance fees required other than a $1,500 non-refundable community fee. This fee is used to keep up the building and commons areas for all residents. Residents pay an extra $1,000 upon move-in to account for the total $1500 community fee.

Monthly fees for assisted living residents range from $2,800 or $2,850 to $3,100 or $3,150 per month depending upon apartment style with an additional charge of $1,000 per extra person. Fee increases, which have been historically between 1 and 3 percent annually, are usually effective on Jan. 1 of each year.

Vernon Woods offers laundering of linens (must be provided by resident) and personal laundry at no extra charge. Also included in the monthly fees is a weekly housekeeping service, transportation to and from appointments and for shopping trips, basic telephone, cable TV, and wireless internet services.

Meal services are also covered by the monthly fees. Residents enjoy three meals a day and snacks from a rotating menu approved by the resident food services committee.

Residents are personally responsible for any fees incurred for drugs, medical supplies/equipment, dental or eye exams, private nursing care and homemaker and/or companion services.

Independent Living Fees

Monthly fees for independent living residents range from $2,750 to $4,150 per month depending upon apartment style with an additional charge of $800 per extra person. Fee increases, which have been historically between 1 and 3 percent annually, are usually effective on Jan. 1 of each year.
