Prostate Screening
Know Your Risk for Prostate Cancer *:
- Age – The incidence of prostate cancer increases with age. About 64 percent of all prostate cancers are diagnosed in men over age 65.
- Diet – Men who eat high-fat diets, particularly saturated fat, may have a greater chance of developing prostate cancer.
- Family History – The risk of developing prostate cancer doubles if a man’s father or brother has been diagnosed with the disease.
- Race – Prostate cancer occurs more often in African-American men than it does in white American men.
