Our Expressions from the Heart gift shop is located on the ground level of West Georgia Medical Center near the main entrance. The gift shop offers a wide variety of snacks, flowers, balloons, cards, baby gifts, traditional gifts, and home décor. You can now use our online gift shop to send presents to patients!
The cafeteria is located in the first floor breezeway of the West Georgia Medical Center. During the week, three meals a day are served in the cafeteria. No breakfast is served on weekends or holidays. In order to avoid delays for both visitors and employees, it is requested that visitors use the main cafeteria between noon and 1:30 p.m. for lunch. Snacks are available in the lounge adjacent to the cafeteria and in the Expressions from the Heart gift shop.
The chapel is located in the Emergency Department in the West Georgia Health South Tower. Ministers are available to provide pastoral care, counseling or to just listen. If you need assistance in contacting a minister, please inquire at a nursing unit or call extension 3783 on a hospital phone.
We welcome family and visitors to our Critical Care Unit, as it is important for the overall recovery of the patient. When visitation must be de delayed, family members may call the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) directly at (706) 845-3112 to get an update on a patient’s status.
This service provides medically-certified interpreters to help our staff communicate with patients who do not speak English. Our staff members dial a designated AT&T number to link with an interpreter and the conversation takes place as a three-way call.
