A woman has special health care needs. From the time she begins menstruating, through her childbearing years and menopause, her reproductive system is an important part of her overall health. But sometimes, various symptoms can cause a woman both physical pain and emotional discomfort.
Staffed by licensed professionals, who specialize in women’s health issues, the Women’s Physical Therapy program at West Georgia Health aims to help women improve their functionality and relieve the pain associated with many of these health conditions. Physical therapists work closely with each woman’s physician to develop an individualized program to restore her to optimum health and provide her with the tools she needs to maintain her health at home.
