WellStar West Georgia Medical Center is a strong and growing regional health care provider serving west Georgia and east Alabama. To offer exceptional care to this area, we continually invest in facility improvements, new technologies and services designed to improve the health of our community. Patient revenues cannot fund all of these needs, so the West Georgia Health Foundation was formed in 2004 to accept private donations to fund urgent priorities of West Georgia Medical Center.
Our first campaign for a new Emergency Department raised more than $5.1 million. Then, in 2009, the Foundation raised funds to support the creation of the Women’s Health Center to provide for the needs of the women in our community. In 2020, the renovation and expansion of Enoch Callaway Cancer Center was completed. This project was partially funded by private donations totaling $10 million to provide quality cancer care to the residents of our six-county service area. Today, the West Georgia Health Foundation is engaged in raising funds for COVID-19 Relief to provide medical supplies for coronavirus treatment at Wellstar West Georgia Medical Center.
West Georgia Health Foundation is a 501(c)(3) public charity. Thank you for your support!
