What's my BMI?
Obesity is most commonly measured by using Body Mass Index (BMI), which is determined by your weight and height. The BMI calculator can help you estimate your BMI.
To be a candidate for weight loss surgery, you must:
- Have a BMI of 40 or greater.
- If your BMI is between 35 and 40, you must have at least one significant associated illness such as diabetes, hypertension, arthritis or sleep apnea.
- Have a personal ongoing commitment to improving your health and lifestyle.
