About Obesity Preparing for Surgery

Weight Loss Surgery Options

Change Your Life by Starting Here

If you are obese (BMI of 35 or more) and have tried to lose weight without success, you may be a candidate for bariatric surgery. Our surgeons offer several surgical options, including sleeve gastrectomy surgery, gastric bypass surgery and the gastric band.

Even if you are approved for surgery, you are still responsible for the success of your weight loss by eating well and exercising. The goal of weight loss surgery is to help you get your body weight down to a safer range to reduce or eliminate the risk of associated conditions (co-morbidities). Many people who undergo surgery notice increased mobility, higher self-esteem and body image, and increased wellbeing through their weight loss journey.

Bariatric surgeries offered by our surgeons are done laparoscopically. Laparoscopic surgeries are minimally invasive procedures which greatly reduce discomfort and recovery time. Through several small incisions, surgeons can view the inside of your abdomen and perform the surgery.

Our surgeons will discuss the laparoscopic surgical options and determine which one is right for you.

Informational seminars are held throughout the area to provide you with the opportunity to learn more about your bariatric surgery options. Following the seminar, you can have almost all of your evaluation completed in one visit.
